Click on the College Names to get directed to the Official Website

what do you have common for these colleges apart from students, staffs, buildings...?
Its awesome food and placement for every meritorious student. Also JPR institutions are one of the leading all rounder institutions in the whole of anna university in every aspects be it games, sports, college ranking, students ranking, college infra-structure, teaching facilities, etc. These group of colleges are well known for the type of food they serve to students and everyone who enter the college premises during the food intervals... Also these group of colleges are established by the close friend of the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, MGR. The colleges are well established with good buildings for lab, class rooms, library, auditorium, mess hall, hostel, temples, mosque, church and even for conducting exams. The colleges have a good play ground facility also. The hostel, gym and internet room is separate for girls and boys. Mess hall is also separate for both genders. There are also both vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods on all days except friday(on which day only veg foods are served to all). Sports quota guys are given more preferences. Special rewards are given for top ranking students at each semesters to encourage them at academics.

Plus points:
>good infrastructure
>good placements
>good hygienic foods
>must board college buses only(to minimize
students in accidents)

Minus points:

The cost of Oxygen!! Very interesting!!!

In one day a human being breathes oxygen equivalent to 3 cylinders.

Each oxygen cylinder on an average costs Rs.700/-, without subsidy.

So, in a day one uses Oxygen worth Rs. 2,100/- and for a full year it is Rs. 7,66,500/-. And, if we consider an average life span of 65 years; the costs of oxygen we use become a staggering sum of Rs. 500,00,000/- = Rs. 50 million. All this oxygen is derived free of cost from the surrounding trees.

Very few people look at trees as a RESOURCE.

Plastic Roads!!!

Hi Guys...! First of all i would like to convey my warm welcome - the month of LOVE     - February 2012 .

The newly formed Corporation of Chennai is implementing many innovative projects for the welfare and well being of the people in the city. Also i have read in the newspapers about expanding the chennai city's area by 8 times nearly and hence to implement overall development of the districts and suburbs surrounding Chennai Main city. Recently i also got a tip about laying plastic roads in and around city streets and main roads. The main reason cited here for laying such type of roads is that life of the roads are declining very swiftly during the rainy seasons. Also another problem the city is facing is scarcity of dumpyard to dump the enormous amount of biodegradable products and non-biodegradable wastes.

Dumped Plastic Wastes along a Water Source making it vulnerable for transmitting Diseases

Although the biodegradable wastes can be easily got rid but it takes some breeding time to get decomposed. Whilst the non-biodegradable wastes wont settle back like the former. But it will be alike the years and wont get decomposed easily. So Chennai City Corporation has decided to use nature of plastics to its advantage. They've obtained to use the waste plastic both from domestic and industries. But could obtain only some 100 tonnes. The requirement of plastic that is projected for laying roads is 800 tonnes. The corporation bodies have planned to get these required plastic waste from the people of city. And they've apparently planned to give away to the people 20rupees per kilogram of plastic waste. For doing this the corporation are going to engage themselves in creating awareness in this regard and hence the chennai city roads would be proper and its lifetime would be greatly increased and hence improper road facilities would be eliminated in the near future.
Imagine this:->
Our kids have a fight on parking their cycles or vehicles in the road with our neighbour and says during this fight "ITHU ENGA APPAN POTTA ROAD" (means This is my Dad's own road)

Anyhow our corporation is also getting innovative ideas and steps to implement them:-)

Happy to hear those innovatives and initiatives, but we people want them to be completed successfully without being shelved
